The Pioneer has been a home for skateboarders for many years now, both nationally and internationally. Hosting skate demos since the 80s, our traditional values continue to this day.

We host skate jams and a variety of different sessions to cater to everyone’s individual needs and tastes. No matter what your chosen passion, The Pioneer will help you lead the way.

The skatepark itself can also be hired for birthday parties and private sessions. Whether you’re 5 or 60, the skatepark can be yours to enjoy!
First time user of the skatepark?
You will need to pre-book using our booking and disclaimer system hosted by BookWhen. Under 18s will require a parent or guardian to complete their disclaimer. Our skatepark T&Cs can be found here. Please note: Children under 10 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times whist using the skatepark. Please contact us, for further information.
Important Info to all skatepark users
You WILL NOT BE ALLOWED onto ramps unless you have completed a skatepark disclaimer in the last 12 months. If we don’t have one for you, you will be required to complete a new one. To those under 18 you will need to ensure your parent/guardian completes the online disclaimer before you can use the park (see link at the bottom of the page). Sorry if this causes a delay at peak times but it is for your own safety.

We use a booking & disclaimer system hosted by BookWhen. To pre-book, click on the the 'Book Here' button above, select the required session and follow the booking and pre-payment process. This will also include the required skatepark disclaimer. As part of the checkout process you will have an account created which will allow you to view & manage your bookings online. You can cancel your booking up to 1 hour prior to the session. Please note due to the costs by our payment processor, we are unable to offer refunds. However, you can either transfer you session to another date or cancel and the funds will be available in your BookWhen account which can be reused for another session.

Party Details

Exclusive Use: Enjoy exclusive access to the skate park for up to 30 people.

Party Package: 1 ¾ hour package: 1 ¼ hour in the skatepark park followed by ½ hour in the Suet Yard for tea.

Pricing:
- Up to 15 children: £275.
- Additional children (up to 30 max): £15 per head.
Extras

Additional Staff Member: £30 for a second staff member to be on hand in the park.

Bring Your Own Gear: Each attendee must bring their own skateboard, skates or scooter. Helmets are required for all participants under 16 years old. We have a small number of helmets and pads if anyone needs them.

Booking Notice: We require at least 48 hours' notice for new party bookings prior to the event date.
